Thanks to you, five-year-old Erica was rehabilitated at the center where they work with children after cochlear implantation. Thank you for contributing to the child's speech development.

Erica started hearing only a year and a half ago after the cochlear implant was installed. After a year of studying with her mother and a speech therapist, she learned a lot of words. But in order to communicate in a way that was understood not only by her parents, but also by others, rehabilitation was required.

- Thank you all for your support, - says Erica's mother Ksenia. – My daughter has been actively working with specialists for a week. But then I caught an infection and because of poor health, we had to finish the course a week earlier. This rehabilitation experience helped me figure out how to deal with Erica further. Now her speech has become clearer and clearer.

Instead of kindergarten, they have regular classes with specialists. Erica has recently learned how to put syllables into words, and is trying to read phrases. Everyone notices that she has become more sociable. On the playground, he can support a conversation with a couple of simple phrases.

The second week of rehabilitation, which Erica was unable to complete due to a cold, was not wasted. Gleb Timoshenkov, another ward of the AiF Good Heart Foundation, went to a week-long speech rehabilitation course. Erica has been fitted with a hearing implant and now needs rehabilitation to learn to speak

Four-year-old Erika heard her parents for the first time a year ago: she was fitted with a cochlear implant. Now the girl needs to learn to speak properly. And for this she needs auditory-verbal rehabilitation in a specialized center, which is too expensive for the family.

In the first year of her life, Erika did not hum at all like other children and did not immediately pay attention to the rattle. She reacted only when the toy came into her field of vision. It was to this feature of the daughter immediately drew the attention of her mother. Soon doubts were replaced by anxiety: Erika is not awakened neither by loud conversations nor by a knock on the door.

Examination revealed a lack of hearing. Last winter the girl was fitted with a cochlear implant. With this implant, many sounds entered Erica's life - from the voices of her mom, dad and sisters to the sound of water running in the faucet, the hum of cars and the squeak of snow underfoot. During a year of lessons with her mom, Erica has made good progress in her speech development. The child's vocabulary has reached 150 words, she even tries to speak in phrases and almost does not use gestures to explain that she wants to drink water or play. But, unfortunately, it is impossible to catch up in the development of her peers with only lessons with her mother and speech therapist. That's why in her four years Erika is like a 2-year-old child.

To “grow up” and make up for lost time, she needs professional auditory rehabilitation. In two weeks, a team of specialists will teach the girl to pronounce sounds correctly, build sentences, answer questions and much more.
