Report

A month ago, surgeons performed the final cranial reconstruction operation on 16-year-old Margarita. The congenital facial asymmetry has been corrected, and the brain is protected. Thanks for the support!

Margarita was born with plagiocephaly, a serious deformity of the skull. If now this pathology is corrected with one, maximum two operations, then Rita had as many as five in infancy! The last, sixth, had to be done when the active growth stopped. It was necessary to close the "fontanelles" left over from multiple bone splitting, as well as correct the sloping forehead and disproportionate eye socket.

— Thank you to all the people who helped assemble a special individual contour implant for my daughter, — says Inna. — With his help, surgeons precisely and delicately adjusted the shape of the head. Rita is very happy with the result, she is no longer shy about her forehead. She began to take more photos and smile more often at her reflection in the mirror.

For the operation, I had to shave off a lot of the girl's hair. But they've already grown back a bit this month, hiding the stitches. So Rita refused to wear an armband or a cap to school. She has no need to hide her regular, even head now. Thank you for helping Margarita to be healthy and beautiful!

About the campaign

Rita needs surgery to correct her congenital facial asymmetry and protect her brain

Born with plagiocephaly, a serious deformity of the skull, Rita, at the age of 15, almost does not stand out among her peers, since she underwent all the necessary operations in infancy. However, there is one more thing left for today: Rita is no longer growing, and it's time to close the last defect.

A sloping forehead, a disproportionate eye socket, and pulsating "fontanelles" on the crown are what's left of Rita's ailment. Now Rita needs a pinpoint, delicate reconstructive intervention that will correct the residual asymmetry and protect the girl's brain.

The surgery itself is free of charge, but the self-absorbable plates that need to be installed are not allowed under the compulsory medical Insurance.

Rita is an excellent student at the Physics and Mathematics Lyceum, she is really looking forward to the day when she can stop being shy about her face. And the story of reconstructing her skull will be finally completed.

Let's help together, tubers!
