The Second Breath Foundation is preparing to ship 3,500 kilograms of clothes and shoes to the Novgorod region. About 280 families with many children will be able to receive help - hundreds of adults and children who simply need something to wear every day.
For parents, this means having clothes to wear to work, to the clinic or to a parent-teacher meeting. For children, it means wearing a T-shirt that fits, shoes that do not chafe, comfortable shorts or sundresses in which they can play safely in the yard and feel on an equal footing with others. Clothing is not about fashion, it's about confidence, comfort, and being able to be in the community without feeling inferior.
Before the clothes reach the families, they are sorted at the Foundation Center: they are hand-picked, checked and matched by season and size. We are now raising funds to partially rent the Sorting Center - without it, it is impossible to organize the shipment of quality, appropriate aid.
