Mikhail Dolganov, a child under care of our Movement Up Charity Foundation, completed a rehabilitation course at the Rodnik Children’s Rehabilitation Center (St. Petersburg).

As a result of the sessions with specialists, Misha became calmer, finds it easier to make contact and also, his speech and social skills improved.

Misha has autism spectrum disorder. He urgently needs rehabilitation to improve his health

Mikhail Dolganov is a long-awaited and desired child, but from birth his life became a test. The baby was discharged with diagnoses - intrauterine growth retardation, cerebral hemorrhage, cerebral edema. And this was only the beginning.

For the first two years it seemed that everything was going more or less normally. But then his mom noticed something was wrong. Misha didn’t respond to his name, didn’t speak a single word and didn’t play with toys like other children. His mom sounded the alarm, but the pediatrician just said: “Everything’s fine, don’t worry.” Yet “fine” never came.

At the age of 2 years and 6 months the boy received his first diagnoses: minimal brain dysfunction, delayed speech and mental development, and dysarthria. In 2020 the family’s life changed forever – Misha was registered with a psychiatrist and neurologist, receiving the status of a child with disabilities.

At the rehabilitation center specialists fight for every child, helping it discover its potential and skills, learn to live and adapt in this difficult world. Let’s help Misha to undergo such a vital rehabilitation he needs and improve his health!
