The charity foundation "Second Breath" is preparing to ship 800 kilograms of clothes and shoes to the Maria Crisis Center in Rostov Veliky, Yaroslavl region. About 200 people will receive support - women facing difficult life circumstances and families in vulnerable situations.
The center helps those who need not only psychological, legal and social support, but also the most essential things - food, hygiene and clothing. Clothes are especially important for women who are starting to build a new life, for moms with children who need to get dressed for school or a walk, for those who are looking for a job or just trying to keep everyday life in a difficult moment.
Clothes are not a luxury, but a foundation of stability: the ability to leave the house without feeling like a stranger; to show up for a doctor's appointment, social service or job interview. It's a step towards restoring confidence and self-esteem.
Before the items are delivered to the recipients, they are hand-sorted at the Foundation Center - they are sorted through, categorized by category, size and season. We are raising funds to partially rent this sorting center - without it it is impossible to organize such targeted and effective assistance.
