When Denis was born, no one could have imagined what a difficult path awaited this family. The first alarm bells rang when the baby began to refuse new food, and then to gnaw his fingers. Doctors reassured him: "It's just neurosis, it will pass." But by the age of one and a half, Denis stopped talking and lost interest in the world around him.
After many months of examinations, the diagnosis of autism was not announced in Moscow. But even with this diagnosis, Denis was interested in learning about the world in his own way. However, after an incident in kindergarten, he experienced a developmental setback and a loss of skills.
Denis has an older brother diagnosed with epilepsy. Doctors note alarming dynamics in him as well: during annual night video EEGs, Denis shows an increase in epileptiform activity. He needs night EEG monitoring and consultation with an epileptologist in order to promptly identify negative dynamics and, if necessary, prescribe antiepileptic therapy.
