Danil is already wearing his new prosthetic

AiF. Dobroe Serdce

Foundation Moscow

With your help, Danil got a new traction prosthesis. It has become much easier for him to manage in his daily life. Now the right hand has become a reliable assistant in all matters. Thank you for your feedback and support! Danil was born with a special right palm, the fingers on it did not form. And without them, it is impossible to pick up and hold objects, it is difficult to control a bicycle, zip up a jacket, pull up on a horizontal bar and play basketball. - I want to say thank you to all the people who helped my son, - says Angelica. – This prosthesis was extremely necessary for him. As soon as I put it on, I immediately started working with my right hand - taking the balls out of the box, putting them back in place. And he did it so well, as if he had always had this prosthesis with him. Now Danil wears his traction arm all day long without taking it off. With her, his life became easier and more comfortable. He can pour tea into a mug, put food on a plate, and get dressed without anyone else's help. I was playing basketball with the guys the other day, and it became easier to control the ball, and my shots became clearer and more confident. He can't wait to try his hand at the horizontal bar. By holding onto the crossbar with both hands, he will be able to beat his own record in pull-ups. Thank you for supporting Daniel and giving him a fulfilling life!

Danil needs a traction prosthesis to help him perform everyday tasks and play sports better

Danil was born with a special hand. The fingers on his right hand didn’t form, so he cannot grab or hold objects. A traction prosthesis can help with this. Now Danil is 12 years old, and he manages many things easily with just his left hand. He vacuums, makes his bed, holds a spoon or a fork, clicks a computer mouse, makes phone calls, and writes in his school notebook. With a prosthesis on his right hand, many daily tasks—like fastening buttons on his clothes or pouring soup into a bowl—would become much easier. He would also be able to hold the handlebar of his bike more securely and catch the ball with confidence during training. Danil is growing up very sporty and isn’t embarrassed by his difference. He doesn’t give himself any allowances. If the whole class is doing pull-ups, he grabs the bar with his left hand and the wrist of his right hand. It’s harder this way, but he keeps trying. If the class goes skiing, he goes with them too—just with one pole. Danil has a bionic prosthesis, but it’s too heavy for everyday life. On top of that, he has outgrown it, and it rubs his arm. He needs a new traction prosthesis. He can’t manage without our support. Let’s help Danil hold on to his bike’s handlebar, the pull-up bar, and ski poles with both hands.
