Artyom has cerebral palsy, he needs rehabilitation!
Artyom is 6 years old. At 11 months, the boy was diagnosed with cerebral palsy (spastic diplegia). Thanks to the perseverance of his parents and Artyom's own character, at the age of 4 he got on all fours and crawled for the first time.
Now Artyom is facing a new, very important stage—a surgical operation on his legs. For it to be successful, the muscles in his back and legs need to be as strong as possible. The goal of the fundraiser is to pay for an intensive physical therapy course to lay the foundation for walking. The objectives of the course are to learn to sit confidently without support and to practice walking on high knees. Specialists say that with regular training, Artyom has a real chance to walk independently.
Artyom is a very positive and sociable child; he attends a theater club and a Lego group. His main motivation is his older sister and his twin brother, with whom he was born, but for now, they cannot race each other. Artyom smiles even during the toughest training sessions because he dreams of catching up with his brother. Please help raise funds for this vital rehabilitation course!
