Akhmad was born in the 26th week of pregnancy. On the third day of life, he suffered a cerebral hemorrhage, and 20 days later, the baby developed hydrocephalus. After the drainage tube was inserted, a serious complication—polycystic brain disease—developed due to an infection. Today, Akhmad is only two years old, but he has already undergone 15 surgeries. Recently, Akhmad's condition worsened: complications with the shunt developed. He now urgently needs a 16th surgery—a revision of the shunt system. The boy's first ten surgeries were performed in Kazakhstan, after which the family continued treatment in Moscow.
