Vanya has cerebral palsy, he needs rehabilitation after surgery!
Vanya was born at 29 weeks of pregnancy due to sudden acute polyhydramnios. Because of severe prematurity, the boy suffered IVH, PVL, and retinopathy, spending 3 weeks in intensive care. At 2 months old, Vanya underwent his first eye surgery, and by the age of one, he was diagnosed with cerebral palsy and received disability status.
Despite the diagnosis and speech impairments, Vanya is actively engaged in physical and social rehabilitation: Voyta, Bobat, AFK, swimming pool, hippotherapy, and sessions with a speech therapist and a special education teacher.
Vanya is now 5 years old. He attends a specialized kindergarten, loves books, the circus, and classical music. The boy has already undergone two surgeries, the most recent of which was in December. Vanya is learning to walk holding one hand and is relearning walking skills after surgery. To continue working with specialists, the family is asking for help to pay for the next rehabilitation course!
