Mira needs surgery to replace her shunt and release her spine!

Two-year-old Mira from Kazakhstan was born with congenital hydrocephalus and spina bifida. She requires surgery to replace her shunt and perform a spinal untethering procedure. Due to her condition, Mira is experiencing developmental delays; at two years old, she cannot sit or walk independently, and she relies on a catheter for vital bodily functions.

As the necessary medical care was unavailable in Kazakhstan, Mira and her mother are traveling to Moscow for treatment. Without timely surgery, there is a risk of her condition worsening, leading to serious neurological complications, increased motor impairment, and other consequences associated with the disease.

Mira is being raised by her mother alone; her father left the family and provides no support. They currently live solely on a disability pension, which is insufficient to cover the required treatment. Her mother is doing everything she can for her daughter, but she needs help.
