In the oldest Yaroslavl shelter for homeless animals "Vita" there live more than 140 dogs. Some of the animals are healthy, there are few mandatory medical procedures: vaccinations and periodic treatment against parasites and ticks. The 76 dogs are over 8 years old and are considered elderly, and age-related diseases cannot be avoided. Dogs "complain" about their liver and kidneys, they get sad for no reason, they can cut their paws on a walk, and they get indigestion.
By law, shelters must have veterinary offices with medical metal cabinets. Right now, Vita uses a wooden cabinet to store medications, tools, and supplies. It is difficult to take care of. Some of the medications are only allowed to be used by a veterinarian, and the cabinet is not locked. And it puts an extra burden on the specialist who has been helping "Vita" for several years.
The shelter needs 2 medicine cabinets with locks and 2 shelving units to perform veterinary manipulations, provide emergency care and store medications, tools and supplies.
Let's help Vita's dogs get quality veterinary care and make the work of the shelter staff easier together!
