The history of the alabai Tara, in our shelter, began in April 2022. The owner simply tied her leash to a tree near the shelter and disappeared. Frightened, but confident that she must faithfully wait and guard her leash and muzzle, she sat for several hours.
Judging by the state of Tara, in the former family, she lived in terrible conditions. Intimidated, constantly expecting to be offended, exhausted. Solid skin and bones. A year later, Tara has gained weight, looks and feels much better.
There are several dozen such large dogs. Large adult dogs have very little chance of finding a home. Even thoroughbred Alabai and shepherd dogs sit in shelter enclosures for years waiting for their owners, and some of them never wait. But we do not stop hoping and looking for a home for them!
Now the fund "Nika" is raising funds for the purchase of food for adult dogs of large breeds. This supply will last for about a month. Let the expectation of the owner be full and pleasant within the walls of the shelter!
