The Vita dog shelter in Yaroslavl is over 10 years old. It is the oldest in the city and has sheltered more than 150 pets.
Many volunteers help for free - by their labor at clean-up days, walk the pets, bring food, spread information about the needs of the shelter, someone gives the dogs the most important thing - a home.
Vita lives on donations. There are permanent items of expenditure, for which specific sums are needed. First, it is the purchase of food. In a day the dogs eat about 75 kilograms, for a month - a little more than 2 tons.
Other mandatory expenses include paying for the labor of the shelter's employees, veterinarian's services and treatment of the pets, medicines, water, electricity and land rent.
Now the shelter needs help in paying the land rent for 4 months.
