Thanks to your support, 10 children from foster families were able to visit a psychologist in individual and group formats to cope with the consequences of living in an orphanage. Often, children who were abandoned by their parents have deep emotional wounds, which are sometimes difficult to heal only with the care of adoptive parents.

In group lessons, children learned to communicate with peers in a playful format, revealed themselves and learned to trust the world. During individual consultations, children told the foundation’s psychologists everything that worried them, all the traumas they experienced in an orphanage or in antisocial families.

Helping children cope with the consequences of life in an orphanage

Vasya's mom left him at the maternity hospital. Masha's parents were addicted to drugs and could not take care of her, so Masha ended up in an orphanage. Misha was found on the street: he lived on a heating pipe. Despite the tragic beginning of their lives, these children found a family.

However, Vasya, Masha, Misha and many other children with similar backgrounds are haunted by fears, they do not sleep well, they have difficulty trusting adults, making friends and studying at school. They fight a lot, are afraid to go to the toilet and to be left alone. Such behavior is a consequence of difficult events and life in an orphanage. To help children adapt to the family and cope with the consequences of their past, they need the help of specialists.
