When Amir was born, his head was irregularly shaped. His frontal area was compressed due to early fusion of the skull bones and was squeezing his brain. This is a congenital condition called synostosis. Unfortunately, in Kazakhstan, in the boy's homeland, they could not make the correct diagnosis for a long time. By the age of two, the baby began to lag behind in development, to speak poorly, and headaches appeared. Precious time was lost, and the boy urgently needed an operation.
The parents brought their son to Moscow, and in November 2023 Amir underwent the first stage of surgery - surgeons formed the correct shape of the skull with the help of titanium plates. Now it is time for the second stage of surgery - removal of these plates. It is important that the operation takes place in time. Then the baby has every chance to grow up healthy!
"After the first operation Amir became calmer, started repeating words, and became interested in toys. We hope that with your support our son will do well," says Amir's mum.
Let's support the family together to make the operation happen!
