Thanks to your support, we were able to help the shelters of Orsk in an emergency situation!

On April 5, a dam broke in the Orenburg region. Over 6 thousand houses were flooded. Many pets were left completely alone in flooded Orsk. Dogs and cats found themselves abandoned in the water. Now the animals are being rescued by caring local residents, employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and shelters located in Orsk or nearby. They transport animals on boats, feed them, and try to find a foster home or a home. Of course, there are almost no places in shelters, but there are always kind people who are ready to temporarily take an animal to their place. Now the Nika Foundation has contacted several shelters that need immediate assistance in the form of food and parasite treatments. Most of the cats and dogs will have to find a new home.
