Artem is the only and long-awaited child in the family. But the birth of the baby was a difficult ordeal for his mother and him. The boy was overweight, on the second day he became ill: breathing problems began, and due to birth trauma, sepsis started, which affected all organs. Artem was on ventilator, then he recovered. At present Artem can sit and crawl on all fours independently, partially understands requests, but cannot speak, saying only some sounds. He is not yet walking or standing without support. A neurologist has been monitoring him since he was born, but a precise diagnosis has not yet been made. Despite the lack of a definite diagnosis, Artem undergoes regular rehabilitation, visits the swimming pool and does compulsory exercises at home with his family. In order to fully rehabilitate, a diagnosis must be made to determine what to emphasize. The decision to have a full genome sequencing was made by a geneticist. The boy's family waits with hope and faith for the results of the study, which should help establish a diagnosis and start effective treatment so that Artem can stand on his feet and start speaking.
