At birth, Munira was diagnosed with high intracranial pressure. A brain tumor was discovered only at the age of four, thanks to magnetic resonance imaging results. Her attending physician looked at the images and advised her to seek help from specialists in Russia.
In July, Munira and her mother flew from Tajikistan to St. Petersburg, where doctors made diagnosis after diagnosis — neurofibromatosis, brain tumor, optic nerve glioma. Due to the illness, her vision deteriorated.
