For the first time, Lesha flew to Russia from his native Republic of Moldova in winter. At that time, it had only been a couple of weeks since doctors discovered a tumor in his head. Lesha underwent several courses of chemotherapy at the V. F. Voino-Yasenetsky clinic, and a course of proton therapy at another hospital.
— While I was undergoing treatment, I saw every day in the hospital how hard it was for children, — says Lesha. — Then I decided that I wanted to become a surgeon. I will help those who are ill to recover.
Proton therapy ended, and Lesha returned home. He's feeling pretty good right now. While Lesha is recovering from treatment, he needs to undergo the familiar magnetic resonance imaging and computed tomography on a regular basis. It is better to do this on the same equipment to get accurate results, so Lesha will have to travel to St. Petersburg again.
Examinations for Lesha, a citizen of another state, are paid. That's why we are asking you for help. Support the future surgeon and help him to undergo examinations to control the disease!
