Thank You for Supporting Chochagai and Her Baby!

Chochagai Kuzhuget, at 32 weeks pregnant, learned that her baby has esophageal atresia—a condition where the baby will not be able to eat on their own after birth. After delivery, the baby may require urgent surgery and further diagnostics to identify any chromosomal abnormalities due to intrauterine growth delay. Chochagai comes from a low-income family. She recently graduated from a teacher training college. The baby's father is in his final year of college and works part-time to pay off their mortgage. Chochagai had to leave her job and travel to Moscow for all necessary examinations, as this kind of medical care is not available in her hometown of Kyzyl, in the Republic of Tuva. She will stay in the capital until the birth, so the baby can receive all necessary care in the perinatal center immediately after delivery. If the diagnosis is confirmed, the baby will need a complex but life-saving surgery. The "Light in Hands" Charitable Foundation is launching an urgent fundraising campaign to cover Chochagai's accommodation and social support in Moscow. Let’s help bring hope to this family together!
