In the Penza shelter dozens of cats and dogs are being treated for serious injuries and surgeries, hoping to recover and find a long-awaited home. And dozens of tails here undergo sterilization procedures, after which it is important to keep the stitches clean and intact.
A protective collar is a veterinary device that limits the animal's mobility and prevents it from violating the integrity of postoperative sutures by chewing, licking or scratching. It also prevents it from licking off the body of external preparations, combing damaged areas (bite marks, burns).
A properly selected protective collar fits comfortably on the animal, does not prevent it from moving, eating and drinking, while limiting access to wounds, seams on the body and limbs.
