We received an appeal from the mother of 13-year-old Umar, who suffers from cerebral palsy with spastic hemiplegia, infantile cerebral palsy, right-sided spastic hemiparesis, and delayed speech development. Due to his condition, Umar experiences weakness and restriction of movement in his right limbs, right foot plantarflexion when walking with support, delayed psychomotor and speech development, which also causes him irritability, sleep disturbances, appetite disorders and frequent headaches. The disease is complicated by spinal problems and the need for regular treatment. Despite his difficulties, Umar finds joy in painting and strives to live a fulfilling life. The boy has undergone 4 surgeries, after which he started walking, but still needs regular rehabilitation courses.
At the moment Umar has received a call for hospitalisation in Moscow, scheduled for 2 November 2024. Until then, he has to undergo many examinations and consultations. The large family needs financial support to cover the additional costs of travelling and living in another city for about 3 weeks.
