Maryam is battling cystic fibrosis

Four-year-old Maryam has cystic fibrosis. Due to a genetic defect, the child's lungs produce a secretion that is viscous like glue. It clogs the airways, causing coughing and inflammation. Now the girl needs inhalation solutions and a nebulizer with all accessories. Back in the maternity hospital Rahima listened to her daughter's breathing: there was something in her chest. By two months of age, the child's condition had deteriorated so much that Maryam was taken to hospital, where she was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis. Rahima tries not to say the name of her daughter's disease out loud - it is too complicated a word. But she knows exactly how to live with this disease to the fullest extent possible: even to go to kindergarten. Medications, inhalations three times a day and a lot of physical activity - all this saves Maryam from exacerbations and pneumonias. The girl's parents used to buy all the necessary medicines and equipment themselves, but after the death of the head of the family this became impossible. With two small children in her arms, Rakhima can rely only on the help of her eldest son Farid. While she is trying to get free hypertonic inhalation solution for her daughter, Maryam's condition has begun to deteriorate sharply. Without inhalation medicine and a powerful nebulizer, it is impossible to clear her lungs. So now little Maryam and those who love her need our help very much!
