Larisa Nikolaevna first came to the Charity Hospital in spring. Or rather, she was brought by an acquaintance - the 75-year-old grandmother could not see anything, she had no passport, and she lived wherever she had to.
At the Charity Hospital Larisa Nikolaevna was examined and tests were taken. The elderly woman suffers from high blood pressure, and because of cataracts she is blind. The hospital staff referred the grandmother to the ophthalmologic clinic of eye microsurgery. There Larisa Nikolaevna underwent surgery, replaced the cloudy crystalline lens with a transparent one - and her eyesight returned!
Three months later, a happy Larisa Nikolaevna herself came to the hospital. For the first time she saw with her own eyes those who had helped her: the doctor, nurses and volunteers. The grandmother thanked everyone and gave a bouquet of white gladioli, which moved the staff to tears.
Now the patient lives in a shelter and regularly visits the Charity Hospital: here she receives free medication, as well as help from doctors and nurses.
