Vasilisa is a cheerful eight-year-old girl, a second-grade student from St. Petersburg. She has always had a hard time keeping still: she loves to draw, dance and socialize with friends, and her dream is to become a doctor to help people and animals.
Six months ago Vasilisa was diagnosed with Ewing's sarcoma, an aggressive tumor affecting the chest. Despite the condition, Vasilisa continues to study with her school teachers online and keeps in touch with friends.
The girl is now undergoing a difficult and long journey of chemotherapy, which unfortunately results in serious side effects. Doctors have recommended Uromitexan, a drug that reduces the risks of complications. However, it cannot be obtained free of charge, as it is not registered in Russia.
