Safiya is a special girl of 10 years old with a diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Disorder. Her development requires special attention and care. She speaks later than her peers, her speech is slurred. The girl is aggressive and capricious, but her emotional background is positive but alert. Her mother, who is disabled, has to take care of Safiye around the clock, as her father is also disabled. The family is struggling financially, with only enough money for the bare necessities - food. Paying for expensive rehabilitation becomes an impossible task. To improve Safiya's condition, an individual development programme is needed, including sessions with an ABA specialist and an adaptive physical education (APE) specialist. These sessions will help the girl to develop her social skills, improve her coordination and improve her quality of life. We appeal to all concerned people to support Safiya and her family.
