Childhood cancer is curable, but it is a long and complex process. Children live in hospitals for a long time, enduring unpleasant procedures.
It often happens that a patient is discharged from the hospital for a break in treatment, but at this time it is impossible to go home: you need to come for tests almost every day, and at the same time avoid any contact with other people so as not to catch an infection. Patients undergoing active anti-cancer treatment have severely reduced immunity, and it is very easy for them to get sick with any cold. But you can't get sick in any way: then you will have to shift the treatment schedule, and time is the most valuable thing a cancer patient has.
Families from the regions cannot afford to rent housing in Moscow on their own. Benefactors come to the rescue - you have helped pay for the hotel at the hospital many times. For example, little Safiya lived there for a long time while undergoing outpatient chemotherapy and radiation therapy. In December, she will come for another examination, and she will need help again.
We were also warned that in December, one-year-olds Kamila and Alice may be discharged for a short break. Without a reserve of funds, it would be very difficult for us to pay for such urgent needs. Many thanks to everyone who helps!
