Amir has successfully completed an intensive rehabilitation course!

Amir is 8 years old. By the age of 2, his parents noticed that the boy did not look into his eyes and did not respond to his name. Experts diagnosed moderate mental retardation, general speech underdevelopment of level 1 with severe behavioral and emotional disorders. First of all, the boy contacted a behavioral analyst, and his cooperation with the teacher improved, who conducted a special motivational stimulus test for Amir. These steps made it possible to introduce the first and second stages of the PECS alternative communication system for the child. A system of tokens (rewards) was also introduced, the use of which in the future will allow the boy to train the desired reactions and follow the instructions of a specialist accurately. Amir's vocabulary (nouns and verbs) expanded, the number of manifestations of undesirable behavior during the lesson decreased, concentration of attention, perseverance, and understanding of spoken speech improved. The adaptive sports coach worked intensively to teach the boy basic skills, as he could not do anything at all. After a course of classes, Amir learned to crawl, run, jump, throw and catch a ball, keep his balance, and his large and small motor skills improved.
