With great warmth and sincere gratitude, we want to share the story of how your support has made it possible to organize adult resource groups for foster parents. These meetings are not just seminars or discussions, but a true embrace of support, where every parent can feel that they are not alone in their worries, fears, and joys. Thanks to your generosity and kindness, these sessions have become a reality, bringing light and hope to the hearts of those who give love and care to foster children every day.
In these group sessions, foster parents come together to share their experiences, learn new approaches to parenting, and find the strength to overcome challenges. Here, they gain understanding, learn to cope with emotional difficulties, build strong connections with their children, and believe in their own abilities. Each session is a step towards a more harmonious family, where parents feel supported and inspired, and children receive even more love and stability. With your help, these parents not only receive training but also undergo a transformation, becoming stronger, more confident, and fully committed to their important mission.
This invaluable support is made possible by the funds raised, which cover the costs of holding meetings, the work of specialists, and creating a comfortable atmosphere. You are our helpers, true heroes whose hearts beat in unison with the needs of foster families. Thanks to you, these sessions become a source of strength, where tears of joy mix with relief, and loneliness gives way to community.

Raisa and other foster parents need support from psychologists
The most common cases of foster children being relinquished occur in situations of kinship care. Typically, these situations arise with grandmothers who are not required to undergo foster parent training and may not be aware of the psychological traumas that children experience after losing their biological parents.
An example is the story of Raisa Vadimovna and her 13-year-old grandson Roma. When Roma was 7, he came to live with his grandmother, and everything seemed fine. However, as he entered his teenage years, difficulties began to arise, including issues related to unresolved childhood traumas—his mother’s abandonment and his father’s unwillingness to stay in touch. Roma started showing aggression, becoming withdrawn, and even running away from home. Despite her best efforts, Raisa increasingly loses her temper with him. She understands how hard things are for Roma and genuinely wants to help him, but she doesn’t know how. At her age, it’s emotionally and physically challenging for her. Without support, there’s a risk that she won’t be able to fulfill her role as a guardian, and Roma could end up in a children’s home.
Our school for active foster parents will help Raisa and other foster parents who face knowledge gaps during their training to learn more about the behaviors of foster children. Here, they can share experiences, receive advice from psychologists, and learn new approaches to communicating with children. This space will provide reliable support for adults striving to better understand and support their children.
