Kolya, 5 years old, struggles with multiple diagnoses: cerebral palsy, strabismus, hydrocephalus and delayed speech development. Born at 24 weeks gestation, he has had a tough journey. Thanks to hard work and systematic rehabilitation, Kolya is already taking steps: he stands up on his own, walks with the help of a walker and starts to walk holding on to a support. He speaks a few words and is very happy to be understood by others. Kolya now needs a course of rehabilitation to help him develop understanding and stimulate his own speech development. Time for speech development is limited: if we don't start to act before the age of 6-8, the chances of further speech improvement are significantly reduced.
