Khalid has been facing serious problems since birth. His parents found out about the diagnosis of Down syndrome immediately after his birth. In addition, he was diagnosed with cerebral palsy, damage to the central nervous system, hearing loss of 2-3 degrees and autism.
Khalid was born a very weak child: he did not have a sucking reflex, and at first he was fed through a probe. He was often ill, had pneumonia several times, and was even in intensive care. At 10 months old, he underwent surgery in Moscow for a diaphragmatic hernia, after which he recovered for a long time. When Khalid was 2 years old, he still did not know how to sit. However, after being rehabilitated by an osteopath, he took the first step towards improvement: he began to barely lean on the handles and learned to sit at the age of two and a half. It took years of endless rehabilitation for Khalid to walk, and he took his first steps at the age of four.
Despite the successes achieved, Khalid still has serious problems with understanding speech. At the moment, his level of understanding corresponds to that of a one-year-old child. For further development, he needs constant training with an AVA therapist, neurocorrection and a speech therapist. Every rehabilitation course brings results, and we believe that there will be progress.
In addition, he has problems with coordination of movements: he walks unevenly, staggering from side to side. Therefore, he also needs movement therapy, which will help improve his physical condition and confidence in his movements.
Let's support Khalid together and help him get through rehabilitation!
