Roma was born a strong boy. But at 4.5 months he became seriously ill with the flu. As a result of complications, he suffered a "rollback" in his development. Roma was able to stand up in his crib at 1 year and 5 months, and walk with support - after two years. At 1 year and 8 months, he was diagnosed with cerebral palsy (CP), spastic diplegia, and was issued a disability. The parents began to do adaptive physical education with their son at home every day, organized classes with a speech therapist and a defectologist. Roma also regularly attended rehabilitation. Each course produced results: the boy became stronger and mastered new skills. In March 2024, Roma underwent surgery to reconstruct both feet. After that, he needs special ankle braces to fix and maintain the results of the surgery. This will help Roma maintain support on his legs, learn to walk and move his legs correctly during a step. Regular sessions with rehabilitation specialists are also important to strengthen muscles and improve motor skills. Without this, the boy may face regression. Today, Roma can sit, crawl, stand without support for about a minute, and move with support. He understands spoken language, follows instructions, knows letters, can count to 20, loves to draw, play with construction sets, and listen to music.
