Bagatyr is 16 years old. From an early age, the boy did not look into the eyes, did not respond to addressed speech and did not respond to his name, lagged behind in physical development, and took his first steps after the age of 2. Doctors diagnosed delayed speech development with elements of autism.
As part of the rehabilitation course, Bagatyr continued his active studies with a speech therapist. Now he can reproduce more than 29 sounds that are available to him, communicates well with gestures, can answer simple questions and say: "yes", "no", "mom", "play". Bagatyr also performs small tasks at the request of a speech therapist: "take", "put", "give".
Thanks to classes with a sports instructor, Bagatyr's physical skills have significantly improved, especially large and small motor skills, balance, and hitting the ball. The boy became more in control of his body, his movements became calmer and more confident.
During the intensive classes, the behavioral analyst also worked on expanding Bagatyr's vocabulary. The specialist worked on the development of the boy's basic academic skills – distinguishing actions, colors, two-component tact, sizes, shapes, expanding the repertoire of requests and simple commands. Bagatyr coped well with the tasks set, became more diligent and attentive during classes, actively interacted with the teacher, and most importantly, the boy has an interest in learning and the cognitive process!
