Five years ago, Rustam's mother first approached us to the foundation about her thirteen-year-old son, who was facing a very serious liver transplant surgery. The situation was critical, because in addition to cirrhosis of the liver, the boy suffered from cystic fibrosis, which means that even in normal life he experienced constant problems with breathing, digestion and the cardiovascular system. The operation was very difficult and lasted fourteen hours, but fortunately it was a success. This year Rustam is turning 18 and graduating from high school! Despite all the efforts of his parents and doctors, he has not become a healthy person. Unfortunately, the disease is incurable. Because of frequent exacerbations, Rustam has to go to a hospital for rehabilitation on a regular basis. After the liver transplantation in 2015, the number of medications that he needs to take increased several times, and regular trips to Moscow for control at the Ak. V.I. Shumakov. Control examinations are necessary to assess the functioning of the transplant and to correct the drug therapy. This will have to be monitored for the rest of his life, otherwise organ rejection may occur, and this is very dangerous.
But the disease has not broken Rustam! After school he is going to tie his life with medicine and is preparing to enroll in medical school.
His family is doing everything possible to support Rustam and provide him with conditions for full development and entry into adulthood, but unfortunately, their opportunities are very limited. The Dadashovs' family has two disabled children, and the parents are not able to cope with the piling up of problems on their own: the cost of rehabilitation, the purchase of medicines, special food, and vitamins. Rustam has to come to Moscow every three months for follow-up examinations, but it is very difficult for the family to raise money for airfare from Krasnoyarsk to Moscow and to pay for the hotel.
