30 specialists working with children and families completed the “Motivational Interviewing” course

Already 33 children have received their active wheelchairs and learned about the value of independent movement — thanks to the Tooba app. Now Aslan can compete with his dad in running in active wheelchairs, Elana has found friends at school, Pasha can go to his grandmother's dacha and help in the garden. But we would not have learned about these children and would not have known what kind of help they need if it were not for doctors — physical therapists who are able to assess the structures and functions of the body, talk to fearful parents and show that a wheelchair is a tool for movement, development and freedom, and not an attribute of limitation and disability. There are very few such professionals, they are unique. They mainly receive patients in Moscow and St. Petersburg, and registration begins a month in advance. We strive to have doctors with the necessary competencies in every city in Russia — that's why we conduct training. Your participation will give children from different cities the opportunity to stay at home and meet with a doctor who knows exactly what is needed for a child's development. We really hope that with your help we will be able to start a summer stream for 21 specialists from Tatarstan, Chelyabinsk and other regions.
