Umaira was born prematurely at 28 weeks by caesarean section. From the first days of life, Umaira was in a severe condition, on oxygen support. Umaira was subsequently diagnosed with grade 5 retinopathy, secondary glaucoma and total retinal detachment. This means that she is virtually blind and without surgery, she will permanently lose her sight. The family lives in a neighbouring country, where it was not possible to provide the necessary assistance to the girl. Now the parents have planned an operation in Russia.
