Sara is two years old. She shuttles with her mother between Kazakhstan and Moscow, loves to draw, fly in airplanes, and dance to her favorite bear song.

Sara's illness was discovered last August. At first the girl had a slight glow in her pupil, then she began to touch the same eye frequently. The mother decided to show the child to an ophthalmologist. Thus, a visit to the doctor turned into a suspicion of retinoblastoma - a malignant tumor of the retina. The diagnosis was confirmed.
The family waited a long time for treatment to be approved in Russia because of the pandemic. During this time Sara underwent four courses of general chemotherapy.
Now Sara receives only selective intra-arterial chemotherapy (SIAHT). This treatment is much easier to take. The baby immediately began to regain her weight, Sara became more cheerful and began to talk more.
If you ask Sara what she will do with the disease — she will show a characteristic hand gesture and say, "I'll throw it away!"
