Shukrona was born prematurely in Tashkent and spent a long time in the intensive care and pathology department. When she was four months old, she was diagnosed with a disappointing diagnosis: retinopathy of prematurity of the 5th degree, which without treatment threatened complete loss of vision.
Now Shukrona is one and a half years old, and she has already undergone four complicated surgeries: two in her home country and two in St. Petersburg (one of them - thanks to kind tuberos). The treatment of this disease is gradual, as the eyeball develops, and after the first surgeries there is hope that her vision will be preserved.
The next operation, scheduled for the end of March, is important to prevent further development of pathological processes. Unfortunately, Shukrona's parents - her mum, a teacher, and dad, a labourer - are not able to pay for treatment in Russia on their own. They are forced to ask for help.
Let's help Shukrona to save her eyesight!
