Dear friends! Thank you very much for your help and participation in the lives of our little charges.
We want to tell you honestly how the situation with the collection has changed.
Three-year-old Kira and Khalid have muscle atrophy, and initially we collected funds for orthopedic corsets that securely fix the head, back and pelvic area of the child, and also help reduce pressure and stress due to a constantly curved spine. With such corsets, the children will be comfortable and safe when going to doctors and rehabilitation.
During the collection process, it turned out that the corset did not fit Kira. A repeated consultation with a specialist in the selection of technical rehabilitation equipment (TRE) showed that the general design of the corset, its angle of inclination and the rigidity of the support in the head area do not correspond to the girl's condition either at the moment or in the future. Specialists recommended purchasing a more complex device - a specialized car seat that provides comprehensive support.
Taking into account all the discounts, the car seat turned out to be twice as expensive as the corset, so it was decided to use all the collected funds to purchase it, and to launch a separate collection for Khalid in the near future.
We want to assure you that your donations are used as efficiently as possible - we always select exactly what the children really need.
Thank you for staying with us and giving the wards of the Paper Bird Foundation a chance for a more comfortable life!
