Aina is almost 5 years old. After 1.5 years, she stopped making eye contact, responding to names, and reacting to people. Specialists diagnosed a delay in speech development.
Thanks to the lessons, the girl learned to distinguish between more than 50 objects and 10 verbs in the format of instructions, to play social games, such as lotto, as a "player". Aina became much calmer and more patient, learned to wait her turn. She also completed the 3rd stage of an alternative communication system using special PECS cards.
Thanks to classes with a speech therapist, Aina's repertoire of articulatory poses has expanded, and she has gained a sense and understanding of the external speech apparatus - cheeks, lips, and tongue. The specialist also worked on understanding speech and forming the correct perception of the meaning of the reversed phrase.
The sensory integration teacher worked on improving fine motor skills and visual coordination through exercises at the table, as well as on the stability of eye contact. While working on the integration of the vestibular, proprioceptive and visual systems, the girl was offered different variations of passing the obstacle course.
Thanks to your help, Aina has successfully completed rehabilitation courses! Thank you very much!
