Yuriy is a 12–year-old child with congenital health problems. The boy has cerebral palsy.
Until the age of 4, Yura lived with blood parents, but, unfortunately, the family suffered grief – the boy's loving mother died after a long illness. None of the relatives wanted to take care of the child.
When Yura came to the orphanage, he was very weak and could not stand on his feet. It was only by the age of 7 that the staff of the boarding school were able to put Yura on his feet.
Yura has been in foster care for 3 years now. He smiles all the time, the boy never has a bad mood.
Yura studies at home, the boy is far behind in development from his peers. Only now is he slowly starting to read, learning the multiplication table. Studying is difficult for the boy, but he works hard and does not give up.
Now Yura needs to undergo a special rehabilitation course that will help the boy improve his motor skills, speech and social skills. Yura's foster mother brings up six more foster children, some of them with special needs. The costs of ongoing rehabilitation are significant for the family.
