Salim has an autism spectrum disorder and mental retardation. By the age of 2, the boy did not respond to the name, was not interested in toys and did not speak.
During the rehabilitation course, the main focus was on developing behavioral and sensorimotor skills. Thanks to the work of a behavioral analyst, Salim mastered new instructions and the skill of "listener behavior", he learned to "sit beautifully", began to sit quietly at the table during class, and became interested in the tasks performed. Work also continued with the PECS alternative communication system.
A specialist in sensory integration has selected for Salim a special set of exercises for all types of perception: tactile, visual, olfactory, vestibular. Thanks to this approach, the boy has already learned how to follow instructions, swing on a swing, independently pass obstacle courses and even climb stairs. Sensory integration classes have improved Salim's interaction with the outside world.
Salim was also able to undergo a Tomatis rehabilitation course. This therapy is aimed at training the inner ear by listening to specially processed classical music. The use of hardware procedures had a beneficial effect on the boy's development and his mental and physical condition.
You're the best! Thanks to your help, Salim has completed an intensive rehabilitation course!
