A few weeks ago, surgeons performed a reconstruction of Kira's skull with self-absorbable plates. The child's head has become more voluminous, and the brain has room for growth. Because of this, the head acquired a special shape - the forehead became narrow, the back of the head protruded strongly. Usually, scaphocephaly is detected and operated on for up to a year, but Kira's problem was discovered only at the age of five. On the CT scan, the doctors saw small indentations on the brain loops, so it was impossible to delay. - I want to say a huge thank you to all the people who helped with the gathering, - says Kira's mother Ksenia. – As soon as the swelling disappeared, it immediately became clear that the shape of the head had changed. I am very pleased with the result. The forehead has become wider, and the whole head looks more voluminous. Now Ksenia is doing her best to limit her daughter's activity. It is necessary to protect the head from injury. And Kira herself had already forgotten about the operation. When she sees children, she wants to run and jump.
