Dasha is three years old and is a resident of an orphanage in the Transbaikal region. Her parents have lost their parental rights. Dasha suffers from one of the few hereditary conditions that can be effectively treated. Unfortunately, there are no specialists for this issue in the Transbaikal region, so the girl came to Moscow.
The little girl is undergoing examinations, based on which a treatment plan will be proposed. The treatment will take several months, and during this time, Dasha will live in the Social Center of the foundation with other orphaned children. Nannies from the foundation are with the children around the clock – for these kids, they are the most important adults during treatment and rehabilitation.
At first, Dasha was cautious, but after just a week, she was unrecognizable – she learned to ask to be picked up, plays happily with the other kids, draws, and engages in activities. In the evenings, she listens as the nanny reads fairy tales. A warm and comfortable atmosphere for an orphaned child is a very important part of their treatment.
