Yusuf is 5 years old. By the age of 1.5, the boy had a developmental setback – he began to forget the words he knew, stopped looking into his eyes and playing games. The boy does not speak, does not play with children, partially understands spoken speech, and eye contact is short-lived.
In the ABA therapy classes for the child, a special skill test was conducted to determine Yusuf's skill level. Based on the collected data, an individual program for the development of academic skills and correction of the boy's undesirable behavior was developed. The program was transferred to the parents so that they could study with Yusuf after completing the rehabilitation course.
After completing the rehabilitation course, the boy learned to follow instructions with the object, distinguish between several stimuli (banana, candy, soap bubbles), "sit beautifully" and even wait for his turn in social games! Yusuf became much more persevering, began to understand the speech better, look into the teacher's eyes for a short time, and the child also formed an index gesture.
Thanks to the work of a sensory integration specialist and an adaptive physical education coach, Yusuf improved both his physical and sensorimotor skills. The child mastered the treadmill, learned to pedal, jump, throw a ball, and pass an obstacle course with the support of a coach. The boy also began to show more interest in his studies. There is a positive trend in the development of large motor skills.
Thanks to your help, Yusuf has completed an intensive rehabilitation course in Astrakhan! Thanks for the support!
