Doctors in her native Tajikistan threw up their hands: analyses, hospitals, the unknown. The terrible diagnosis - myelitis - sounded like a verdict: the disease had attacked the spinal cord. Myelitis is a dangerous lesion of the spinal cord and can lead to loss of motor skills in the legs, arms and even respiratory failure. To save their daughter, her parents brought her to Russia to more experienced doctors. But instead of saving her, a new ordeal occurred: the girl began to suffocate. Ahdia was urgently hospitalised in the Children's City Clinical Hospital of Kaluga Region and connected to a ventilator. Two months of struggle, where every breath is a victory. Now Ahdia breathes through a tracheostomy, eats through a probe, but she understands everything and looks at her parents and doctors with hope.
