Damir was only 1.5 years old when he was placed in a foster family. Despite the love his family gave him, he was always difficult. He was very impulsive, had poor control over his emotions, and because of this, he often had conflicts with his peers. And the further he went, the more problems arose. As he grew older, Damir began to take out his aggression on girls and completely stopped listening to his parents. Everyone in the family suffered from this. At the age of 13, serious problems began: running away from home, searching with the police in neighboring regions, calling him to school, unscheduled visits from guardianship.
It is difficult for Damir to understand the feelings of others. He has poorly developed empathy - he does not grasp what others are feeling, and does not know how to adjust his behavior to this. He is often rude, without even realizing it. When other children were learning to communicate with their relatives, Damir lay wrapped in swaddling clothes and looked at the white ceiling. His emotional-volitional sphere has not developed as it should. For him, emotions are an unfamiliar and frightening territory. He barely understands even his own feelings. Such difficulties are typical for many children from foster families. Early experience of rejection, lack of stability, disruption of attachment - all this affects behavior, the ability to feel and trust. Such children especially need systematic psychological support to learn to live in peace with themselves and with others.
Damir really needs the help of professional psychologists now. Only with their support will he be able to learn to understand himself and others, cope with aggression, build relationships and feel safe around people.
Your contribution is an opportunity for Damir and other children to receive psychological help. This is a chance for a new start, for acceptance, for trust in the world. Even a small donation can be the very step that will bring the child closer to a calm, carefree life.
