At 10 months of age, Eric suffered a severe infection and a cerebral circulation disorder, after which he developed epilepsy. By the age of three he had caught up with his peers, but at the age of four his seizures returned - convulsions, freezing, loss of consciousness. The condition worsened, medications did not help. And only last year Eric underwent surgery - the damaged part of the brain was removed. The seizures stopped! Now every six months Erik has to undergo a detailed examination for a fee, so that doctors can assess his condition and adjust further treatment. But the boy's mom can not cope with such expenses.
