Artem is 19 years old, of which he has been fighting acute lymphoblastic leukaemia for 6 years. He is originally from Siberia, but when he was a schoolboy his family moved to Moscow. School time was happy and carefree, until one day during the summer holidays Artem felt ill. There was no strength for anything, but it was not believed that it was due to health problems - outwardly he was a perfectly healthy teenager. It got to the point that one morning Artem couldn't get out of bed. The ambulance took him to the hospital, where after examination doctors informed him about blood cancer. But Artem accepted the diagnosis calmly, during the treatment and a break in his studies he realised that he was most interested in mathematics and computer science. He concentrated on it while he was undergoing chemotherapy for two whole years. The long-awaited remission came. Artem entered the university, the hospital routine gradually disappeared from his life and it seemed that everything was behind him. But during one of the winter sessions Artem became ill in the underground. After taking tests it became clear that the disease had returned. Now Artem needs a bone marrow transplant.
